Bolton Browne aims to be the youngest composer/conductor to write, record and premiere a two hour concert of orchestral sport music and have it performed simultaneously around the world, thus providing a level playing field for conductors to showcase their talent.
The three symphonic works written for this sport music campaign comprise two hours of new classical music and over 4,500 bars scored for full orchestra. Instrumentation calls for 80 players and a solo cellist. The concert programme opens with the Overture lasting 15 minutes, the Concerto lasting 45 minutes and following an interval, finishes with the Symphony lasting 55 minutes. The recording and premiere will be conducted by the composer.
